Detox Green Smoothie

This smoothie is perfect to flush out all toxins and boost your body PH levels. After just one glass,  I promise you'll be a green smoothie convert for life! Purifying, alkalising, detoxifying...this smoothie has it all. Smoothies are more substantial than juices, so I often make them as a complete meal to start my day. This recipe makes enough for 1 generous serve and I normally save a little as an afternoon snack or enjoy the next day for breakfast.

INGREDIENTS

Serves 1

1 generous handful baby cos lettuce or a serve of Healthy Chef Everyday Greens

2 navel oranges, peeled or 3 kiwi fruits, peeled

2 - 3 cups of water, depending on how you want your consistency

1 tablespoon Healthy Chef Marine Collagen

METHOD

COMBINE lettuce, oranges, water and collagen into a blender.

ADD ice if you want a cool refreshing smoothie.

BLEND until smooth.

POUR into 1 - 2 large glasses and enjoy.

LEFTOVERS can be kept in the fridge for the next day or to enjoy as a healthy snack.

NOTES & INSPIRATION

Add 1/4 avocado or 1 teaspoon avocado oil to boost healthy fats and nutrient absorption.

Use pineapple in place of the orange.
