What's great about it

Here is a fun super hero way of getting your kids to enjoy their greens! It was the winning entry from my last "Win a Vitamix Competition" called "THE HULK" smoothie,  submitted by Nicole Valentic who makes it regularly for her 2 twin boys. High in protein to build and repair a young growing body and support a healthy immune system, this beautiful, vibrant and wholesome blend is full of calcium to build strong bones and a good source of quality carbs for energy and omega 3 to support brain function.

Ingredients

Serves 1

100g natural thick yoghurt with live cultures

1/2 cup milk (your choice of organic dairy, soy GMO free, rice, almond, coconut)

1 teaspoon honey

1 handful baby spinach leaves (see notes)

1 banana

1 teaspoon ground flaxseed (linseed) or whole chia seed

½ cup ice

Method

1. Combine the yoghurt, milk, honey, spinach, banana, flaxseed and ice into a blender.

2. Blend until smooth, green and creamy. I like to use my Vitamix.

3. Serve immediately and enjoy.

Notes and Inspiration

LSA can be used in place of chia seeds.
