What's great about it
This is the perfect summertime healthy breakfast smoothie. It's the ultimate meal replacement shake to support weight loss and it's rich in antioxidants, minerals and protein to nourish your body. I drink this smoothie often in the mornings, as the protein powder helps keep me full, supports my digestive system as well as nourish my skin. The addition of matcha helps to boost my energy as well as my metabolism.
Ingredients
Serves 2
1 cup strawberries - fresh of frozen
1 tablespoon almond butter, coconut butter
2 cups coconut water, iced Nourish + Glow Tea or dairy-free milk
2 tablespoons of Healthy Chef Protein
1 teaspoon Ceremonial Grade Organic Matcha
1 cup of ice
½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
stevia or your choice to taste (optional)
To Serve
1/2 cup fresh strawberries, washed, tops removed and smashed with a fork to release their juices.
Method
- Combine strawberries, almond butter, dairy free milk or coconut water, Healthy Chef protein, matcha, ice and vanilla in a blender.
- Blend until smooth, thick and creamy.
- Divide extra smashed strawberries between the 2 serving glasses.
- Pour the smoothie over the top and garnish with coconut.
- Enjoy.
Notes and Inspiration
For a low-sugar option, use iced Nourish + Glow Tea in place of coconut water or dairy-free milk.
Top your smoothie with Raw Muesli or Granola for a delicious breakfast with extra crunch. Leftovers can be eaten for lunch or you can keep this smoothie for the next day.
