What's great about it

When I mention the word menopause you may think of hot flushes, tiredness, mood-swings, loss of libido, weight gain, insomnia and so on.  It’s inevitable that many of us will have to go through it, but studies are now showing that what you eat and your lifestyle can have a significant impact on how your body deals with menopause.  A good diet and active healthy lifestyle can reduce and alleviate it’s symptoms – this is the time to really pay attention to what you eat and how you live and in doing so, your body will thank you.

This protein-rich, low-sugar smoothie is full of essential nutrients to help nourish healthy hormones, support your thyroid and balance cortisol. Avocados are rich in healthy fats, antioxidants and minerals. Healthy Chef Protein contains essential amino acids that are needed for hormone production. Marine Collagen can assist with healthy skin + hair and gut. Brazil nuts are high in selenium for thyroid support and banana is rich in minerals such as potassium and magnesium to support your adrenals and nervous system.

1 tablespoon Healthy Chef Protein  or Marine Collagen

2 teaspoons Everyday Greens

2 Brazil nuts

1/2 small banana

1/2 cup water

1/2 cup cup dairy-free milk (I used Pumpkin Seed Milk)

Stevia to sweeten
