What's great about it
This recipe comes from my favourite health spa - Kamalaya in Koh Samui Thailand. It's a nourishing grounding smoothie that's high in potassium, calcium, and minerals to support healthy bones and nervous system.Adding a spoonful of Healthy Chef Protein
helps repair my body and keeps me energised all morning. Protein increases metabolism as your body requires more energy (calories) to process protein than it does to digest carbs. I also add a spoonful of chia or ground flaxseeds for omega 3 and a pinch of cinnamon that helps to stabilise my blood sugar.
1 banana - frozen
1 cup coconut water
1/4 cup organic coconut milk or flesh from 1 young coconut
1 tablespoon Healthy Chef Protein
1 tablespoon chia or ground flaxseed
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 generous teaspoon tahini
- Combine all the ingredients into a high speed blender.
- Blend until smooth and creamy.
- Serve immediately and enjoy.
