Your Detox Plan Part 3

I'm a great believer of supporting your body's natural healing process through the foods you eat. For those who missed PART 1 and PART 2 of this detox plan, please ensure you have a read this information to help support your journey.

WHY DETOX? 

Everyone can benefit from a detox program on a regular basis and the basic aim of a good detox is to enhance your overall state of health and wellbeing.

A well designed detox diet offers a variety of wellness solutions; it primarily increases our energy and vitality, it helps with mental clarity, focus and emotional balance, and brings a greater awareness of healthy diet and lifestyle habits to keep you in optimal health + wellbeing - for life.

It’s important not to jump back into eating all the foods you were used to eating after a detox. The below menu is set up in a way to introduce your body to nourishing meals and drinks you want to create daily. DETOX - WHAT TO EAT

The below detox plan is basically a healthy eating plan that’s full of nutrient-rich plant-based wholefood ingredients that won't leave you hungry. Think of it as an opportunity to let go of old habits to reset yourself nutritionally and to have a fresh start. Just stick with it for 3 days and you will enhance your over all health. After the 3 days you can easily repeat the detox regime and eating plan for a further 3 - 12 days based on how you feel and your constitution.

 

Plant-based wholefoods such as fresh vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds and are alive with all of nature's enzymes, proteins, vitamins and minerals. Eating more of these foods allows your body to get the best nourishment it can get!

 

I've specifically chosen the ingredients that help detoxify, alkalinise and heal the body. Eating the Detox Energy Salad, for instance, will promote clear glowing skin, a healthy digestive system and endless vitality. Leafy greens are power-packed with naturally occurring nutrients including chlorophyll, beta carotene, vitamin C, B complex vitamins, amino acids, calcium, potassium and magnesium. They work as a natural anti-inflammatory in the body and a key nutrient in supporting digestive health and detoxification in the body. My Detox Vegetable Soup is a wonderful addition to this eating plan. Based on Ayurvedic principals whereby warm food is favoured over cold to balance the doshas, especially if you have a delicate digestive system. Feel free to enjoy this soup for lunch as well as dinner.

YOUR 3-DAY DETOX PLAN

ON RISING: 

2 large glasses filtered warm water with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice that will help to encourage elimination and aid bowel movements, support digestion and hydrate the body.

Followed by 1 glass of Cold Pressed Wheatgrass Juice or my ultimate Daily Green Juice recipe to help alkalise the body and boost metabolism.
